Christian of a different sort I'm a Christian because God pulled me out of the hell I had led myself into. He was patient, kind, gentle, and never gave up on me, even when I had given up on myself.
I had been in many churches and denominations, and after many years of seeing every church doing things that are outside of what the bible teaches (yes, even the mainstream ones), I decided to ask God what His understanding, His Truth, and His knowledge was...and in exchange, I would forget all my man-made traditions, rules, beliefs, and ideas. God took me on such a journey! Sometimes scarey...after all, the man-made foundation that had been built underneath me was being destroyed. But WHAT a new foundation God was building under me! It's been exciting, frustrating (when I couldn't keep up with what He was showing me), joyous, and absolutely eye-opening!
