ABOUT ME AND WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR A WOMAN I'm looking for friendship first, because this has to be the foundation for a good long-term relationship. I think that once you get to a certain place in life, you've probably seen, lived, loved enough to know what works for you and what to look for in a true life partner. We are all products of our life experiences and its a matter of gaining wisdom and continuing to grow and change. I'm still learning new things every day and willing to change and adapt to better myself.

When it comes to relationships, I believe that it has to be rooted in trust, first and foremost. Without trust, it's more more difficult to love unconditionally. I try to establish even the simplest forms of connection with others. I try to live an authentic life which means that I'm open and strive to be honest about my feelings and tolerant of others differences. I also tend to be the giver and pleases in a relationship but understand that this needs to be balanced, since being with someone who is self-absorbed or selfish doesn't work well for me. I tend to put my partners needs ahead of mine and have been told that I'm not really the typical guy, in that I'm more expressive, attentive and affectionate than most men and I like to feel connected with my partner.

I believe that what you give to others is what comes back to you in return, so it's important to treat others with kindness. My friends would describe me as being thoughtful, a good communicator, witty/funny, generous and considerate. I'm most grateful for my family and close friends. I'm thankful for having the ability to have choices in life, to have a career that I enjoy. What makes me the proudest is to see how my children have grown to become well-rounded, intelligent, capable and responsible adults.
