Why I'm a believer in Christ Main reason - I believe! I know the bible is true. The accounts of Jesus, Israel & their rulers, Sodom & the other 4 cities, the accounts in the book of Daniel & many more are backed up by archaeological evidence. More impressive, is the fact that many detailed & specific prophecies have & are now being fulfilled. Israel is the clock used in prophetic time. It is not possible that any of these prophecies would actually happen according to Probability, far beyond impossible!
Of course these things are secondary to my personal upbringing as a child, which in most Bahamians are brought up to believe in Christ as real & the bible as true. This led to my searching for answers to questions as to why I was hungry all the time, where was God, did He care about us sitting high in the sky. I did not think so.
Then my mother changed when she became a christian & it was my first sign that God was a personal God. We left the Bahamas & came to Florida, looking for my dad. We went to church & I gave my life to Christ so I would not go to hell. I learned to read the bible to answer questions & know what truth was. There was so many different beliefs that the Catholic school I went to thought we should know about & be tolerant of.
I kept asking God to speak to me somehow & never stopped asking. It was at church where we met other women who went to the hospital & prayed together. A man came along & he had charisma & 'gifts'. My mother did as well. When I was out she would know I was in a car accident before neighbors took me home to her, she would be waiting outside the gate praying, God already told her. Richard magnified this 'gift'. My mother would say she 'felt' ,'Tom' for eg., was looking for us. Then my stepfather,Richard, would come home & say, 'God said we need to look for Tom'. No one knew where to find this Tom but in obedience we would jump in the van & find Tom in Miami. I kept praying & I have had many similar personal experiences . I hear, feel, know
