| I was infant baptized in the Lutheran church. I believe in "consubstantiation" and "Sola Scriptura". Yet churches seem further away from the Bible all the time. I like Bible ALONE as Luther had taught. I visit different churches from time to time. Sermons often get away from Bible teachings. People replace Bible with other ideas. The sky is the limit. Paul said, 1 Corinthians 1:12, "One of you says, "I follow Apollos" another says "I follow Paul" Still another, "I follow Christ." Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized into the name of Paul? This message of Paul is said 1 Corinthians 1:10-13 and 1 Corinthians 3:4-5 and 1 Corinthians 4:6 where Paul says that he has applied these things to himself and to Apollos for our benefit so that we can learn from the saying "Do not go beyond what is written?" But people nullify the word of God all the time. Paul says, "Do not go beyond what is written." Luther, "Sola Scriptura." "Here I stand." |
