Because my testimony is helping so many people, I am posting it here so it will stay on your front page for awhile if that's ok with you. The many entries in my guest book that is accessible towards the bottom of the front page on my site, and the many positive emails in my email file folders, show that the content of my testimony is helping many people.

MY TESTIMONY
The idea that God lets any creature suffer endlessly has caused me more suffering than all other problems of my life combined. By the time I had reached the mission field I had hoped to have found a satisfactory answer that would justify God allowing this to happen. I didn't find such an answer. Surrounded by thousands of people, dozens of whom were dying every day and beginning an eternity of suffering in hell was too much for me.
In 1966, at age 28, it caused me to have a nervous breakdown. For several weeks I was confined to my bed in a state of terror night and day. The terror was caused by the fear of what a God I could not love or respect would do to me after I died. It took me twelve years to fully recover from the breakdown. I quickly became agnostic, for the Christian gospel and the Bible were no longer any comfort to me at all. Many evangelical friends tried to help me. They meant well, but in the end they all had only words of condemnation towards me. This added more suffering to my already intense suffering.
Gradually I began to learn that there have been, in centuries past, and still are today, a few people in the world that see a different kind of God in the Bible. They see a God who will not let any creature suffer forever. They see a God in the Bible who will change every second of everyone's suffering into something better that it happened, including the sufferings of Satan. I learned that a correctly (literally) translated Bible teaches universal transformation, not endless suffering in hell, or even annihilation. I read dozens of books, and listened to hundreds of tapes by men who believe this way and I gradually became converted to believing this way myself.
Since 1981, through my newspaper ads and my telephone ministry, I have sent out many hundreds of packets of literature explaining why I believe as I do. I have also sent this evidence to hundreds of pastors and Bible school teachers. None of them have told me that they are able to refute it. I have also read eight books that were supposed to refute the evidence in favor of universalism, but none of them do. Because of this evidence, my panic attacks became less frequent until twelve years after my breakdown they ceased altogether. Now nothing gives me greater pleasure than to make this evidence available to others who have suffered because of the same problem I had even though they have embraced Christ and His gospel for themselves, and I use a substantial amount of my money and time to this end.
Because of the enormous amount of suffering the idea of "endless hell" causes in this world, I am asking you to consider the possibility that you should stop endorsing the idea that the Bible teaches it. Or, at least, let others know that there are (and have been in centuries past) people who do not think the Bible teaches it.
Many of the responses from pastors and teachers range from a mild: "The majority don't agree with you so you must be wrong", to the vicious "For every week you leave your ad in the papers, God will increase the temperature of the fires of hell for you personally".
Most are somewhere in between these remarks. But none have told me they are able to refute the evidence. And, until they can, they will not be able to stop me from sharing the good news that a correctly (literally) translated Bible teaches universal transformation, not endless suffering in hell, or even annihilation.
A website that answers all the arguments that seem to support the idea that the Bible teaches endless suffering in hell is TENTMAKER. Although forum rules prevent me from posting forum links, you can easily Google it up. The “scholar’s corner†under “research†deals with every aspect of the subject. The more than 600 page search engine at the top of this same TENTMAKER front page is also very comprehensive regarding this subject. Just type in a key word or phrase from any argument or scripture passage, and ten articles will appear that refute the eternal hell and annihilation doctrines.
I am also going to guide you all to the testimony of a man whose experience was almost identical to mine. Even the thought processes that took him into, through, and out of his breakdown are the same as mine. Only he is much more eloquent in telling his story than I am in telling mine. His name is Charles Slagle.

My name is Rodger Tutt. I am 68 years old. I could have avoided a horrific twelve year nervous breakdown had I known as a youth about the following information concerning what a correctly (literally, not interpretively) translated Bible teaches

The “danger†in preaching the truth resides only in the imagination of the person who doesn’t understand the truth.
The online book “HIS ACHIEVEMENT ARE WE†by James Coram needs no defence. It stands on its own merit.
It has helped many people. It will help many more.
All comments and questions regarding this book are responded to within the writing itself, for example, “WHAT ARE CORRECT TRANSLATIONS OF THE BIBLE?â€Â
A frequent response to first learning about the existence of this book is,
“You believe the words of men, but we believe the Bible.â€Â
But the actual reading of, “HIS ACHIEVEMENT ARE WE†by James Coram will prove to all readers that JUST THE OPPOSITE IS TRUE.
IMHO, "HIS ACHIEVEMENT ARE WE" by James Coram is the most powerful of all of the dozens of books that I have read, the hundreds of tapes that I have listened to, and the many online articles that I have read that show that a correctly, (literally, not interpretively) translated Bible teaches universal salvation, not eternal torment, or even annihilation. (I am 68 years old)
In fact, to me it is so powerful that it renders all arguments to the contrary completely irrelevant to the truth that it proves that, by the time God’s plan for the ages of time has been consummated, the universal salvation of all sinful creatures from everything from which they need to be saved, most certainly, will have occurred.
It can be read in its entirety online at (removed)
Or, it can be Googled up by typing in HIS ACHIEVEMENT ARE WE
It has seventeen chapters, each chapter having its own highlighted heading followed by a short introduction.
Just click on the highlighted heading and the entire text of that chapter will appear.
Since I have read many writings, the sum total of which contain every argument in existence in support of the idea that the Bible teaches eternal torment or annihilation, I am confident that if anyone were to read "HIS ACHIEVEMENT ARE WE" in it's entirety, they would change their mind about their belief that the Bible teaches eternal torment or annihilation.
However, as a friend recently reminded me, one must be disposed of the Ultimate Placer to receive any revelation; it’s all about Sovereign causes & effects.

.I believe in universal salvation for all (many roads to God); but as one who has a degree in Biblical literature and interpretation as well as a master in Christian education and have done 34 hours of post grad studies on the personage of jese, I have to concur with Dr. Bruce Chilton (An Intimate Biography of Rabbi Jesus)who is a fellow of the Jesus Seminar and an Anglican priest and rector(pastor) who has done extensive study in the Aremeic language which was the tongue that Jesus and the people of his area spoke natively. By studying all the ancient transcripts of writings both orthodox ( and remember that orthodox is an opinion not an an absolute truth) and the found materials plus stells of all the stories from the area plus the oral stories that are still alive among the hill people of the Nazareth area we know more about the person Jesus who was a rabbi(teacher), for some a prophet, for others a wise sage...the human man Jesus. He suffered gossip his whole life among these folks who referred to him as a bastard child. The son of Mary and alleged son of Joseph, but others said the child of a Roman soldier. His message was not that of a messianic personage as was later ascribed to him many years after his death in writings, but a message that the realm of God is hear and now not some distant reward and that those of sincere faith could enter it. As he spoke it ours is not to be a faith in him but a belief in his faith as a true dweller in the domain of God. He pointed the way, yet those who wanted him to be a messiah and a military general at that who would lead all the Jews to over throw the Romans and make Jerusalem the capitol of the known world...in short they wanted what the Romans were. He often said "those who have ears had better listen" and "you have ears yet you listen not". All were to understand that they were very near what they wanted but that it was for all people and not just the Jews. He abolished the law which had persecuted him all his life by reducing it to the requirements to be "dwellers in God's domain". "Love God completely with all that you are and have and your neighbor as yourself. On these two things hang all the laws and the prophets." It was meant to recreate a world of love of mutual sharing and caring where none should suffer for want and all had healing of body, soul and mind. When Jesus spoke of eternal things it was always to show that separation from God and one another is a hell of our own making. The place Jesus spoke of he mentioned many times as like a hell...the Valley of Ghenna...on the outside of Jersalem where the refuse of the city was gathered and buried and all who were sick of body and mind were forced to live in the caverns around that heap of stinch from the trash and the sulferous cavern that was that valley. He was a human living a very human life in very human circumstances with a message of a way out of the hardships by just the act of love towards all in God's name. Sister Theresa said in best for me, "I meet the Christ twice everyday, first in the mass and then in the face of every suffering soul I tend." In short we all can became Christ for one another; it was not a distinction just for Jesus. Christ means annointed one, and has we believe in the faith of Jesus we begin the journey towards becoming the Christ and we enter into the realm of God where the power is available to really be self giving people for the sake of others and the threat of want leaves us as we trust one another for our needs. The rugged individualism became a religion within the Church in America during our expansionist history and has done more to destroy the message Jesus gave than any other intity in our experience. We must reclaim the true message from the truly human man who knew the way into God's domain and just wanted all of creation to live there and experience the true salvation that God offers. Those who have ears will listen and come into real life, joy, peace, long-suffering patience, and a love that knows no end and cannot be denied anyone. |

`I don't understand this and I won't try to.It comes across to me as being part of the feel-good theology and the way of satan inthat who can say they are the christ but christ alone.Jesus said he is the way , the truth, and the light.Jesus also said that no man comes to the father but by him because he is the door and the doorkepper opens to him.If jesus had not given his life outside the gate just as the animal sacrifices were offered outside the gates of the city, then we would still have to kill and burn the perfected ones as in without spot, blemish, scratch or sickness. If we tried to offer anything else it wouldn't be excepted.God is holy and righteous and none can come before him without first calling on the name jesus which means he will save his people from their sins.Jesus is the good shepherd which means one who will lay down his life for his sheep. The hireling won't,he will flee when he sees the wolf. There is more I need to post but I must go for now so gbu all.

`As a true christian(christ-like) then you know that you know in your spirit and in your heart and soul that jesus was,is,and always will be the living word made manifest in the flesh but without sin.You will also know that he is the ONLY begotten son of the almighty, omnipresent, longsuffering, merciful,Father God of abraham,Isaac, and Jacob(Israel). There is a verse in the bible that talks about studying to much and still not understanding and it speaks of getting alot of different doctrines which only makes one confused.God is spirit and we go before him in spirit. He sees inside this shell every single time.We can't hide from him and we can't hide anything from him.He knows our thoughts and he knows what we are going to say before we think it.Try to grasp this concept because when you do it is revalutionary(lifechanging) and the sky may look a little brighter.I'm not going to tell you that you will then walk in fields of green clovers or you will only live in plenty because that would be a lie.Our testimony is an ongoing process that aids in building our faith. When we pass one test our faith gets a little stronger and then God prepares us for the next test which will be a little harder or so it will seem to our flesh but if we remain in his word and in constant prayer then it won't seem so hard to our spirit.I believe that as long as we live here on this earth we will have trails and we will be tempted but we have an advocate to the father and his name is jesus.Jesus knew what it meant to be tempted but get this down in your spirit,Jesus was never tempted by a beautiful woman. He never had S-- with Mary magdelene and that is not her sitting beside him at the last supper.Jesus was always about his fathers business even teaching in the synagoges when he was 12 yrs old.Every word and every step that Jesus took and said was preordered and preordained by God the Father. There is no school or classroom or man that should try to tell you otherwise but if you are so inclined to try to reason this out with a book then do it with the living word of God which is the kjv and with prayer.I mean don't even open the book without first praying and asking for understanding. The word of God says "you have not because you ask not" so ask for understanding.I sincerely hope and pray that this helps someone as it is part of my testimony which has led to this understanding.May God have mercy on our souls.GBU all!

`To the Men in This Thread,
"If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain.
But godliness with contentment is great gain." 1Timothy 6:3-6
