any advice on going from having S-- casually to being cellibate? i'm trying to clean up my life and live for christ and i am having a hard time staying true to this new walk.

`the bible is very very clear on having S-- outside of marriage and clearly calls it fornication.We all have a past that we must walk away from especially when you become a borne again christian meaning that no matter what age you are physically,spiritually you are a newborne.That means that you start off on a milk diet of studying his word,praying everyday,and listening to those that the holy spirit leads you to listen to and looking out for wisdom from unexpected people and places.Your prayer should always start with thank you Lord for saving me now please change my mindset and my inner ear to hear your voice and teach me to wait on you.Let me be humble,respectful of myself and of others,keep the gate of my mouth from speaking things that you don't want me to speak about,keep my eyes from looking at things you don't want me to look at,and keep my ears from listening to things you don't want me to listen to.Guide and direct me Lord and let your peace be upon me.I ask these things in your name Lord Jesus.amen..........read everyday in your bible,all of the bible not just the new testament.Give to your church a tenth of your income each time you get payed.Ask Father for the understanding of his word to show you how to apply it to your everyday life especially with areas you are having trouble with and may God bless you.

`Its very hard to wait, But I know god has someone special in mind for me and I know it will be worth it. I used to think that as long as I believe and prayed and followed Christ, that it didn't matter what the other person believed. I was so wrong. Where as we are not to judge. I learned the lesson of being unequally yolked the hard way. How can someone love you if they dont know what love is or even believe in it?

`Very well said southernfinery. The way I look at is if you don't love someone enough to want to marry them or they don't love you enough to spend the rest of your lives together then you have no business going to bed together.
